Administrative Assistant

Reports to: Senior Pastor
Hours: 5-10 hours per week
Work Modality: On-Campus & Remote

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage Church Email Accounts and Respond Daily.
  • Maintain an active and updated record of vital church documents.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the church.
  • Collect and input all attendance rosters from Sunday School, Sunday Service, and any other attendance into the church database(s) and execute follow-up responses and/or protocols as established by the various ministries.
  • Maintain the church calendar.
  • Maintain and order all office and church supplies.
  • Oversee all communication to the church body - emails, letters, app notifications, etc.
  • Keep track of all new addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses for new and current members of the church and update the church database(s) as appropriate.
  • Conduct background checks for staff and pertinent church members.
  • Create ProPresenter Slides for Sermons, Announcements, Scriptures, Responses, etc.
  • Create the Weekly Bulletin in Canva and have it printed by Sunday.
  • Manage and Update Church Website.
  • Upload Sermons no later than the day after they’ve been preached.
  • Edit Sermon Recordings (including transcriptions).
  • Manage Social Media Accounts.
  • Willing to perform other duties the senior pastor requests.

  • Be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor, a hospitable and humble spirit, and a kind, compassionate, and caring heart for people and for developing Christ-centered relationships.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Capacity to multitask, take initiative, be patient, and attend to details.
  • Complete and pass a background check.

Education

  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Willing to become proficient with Microsoft Office, Google, ProPresenter, and Canva.
  • A commitment to excellence, personal growth, and teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to become proficient in Church Management Software: Subsplash.
